 The Catholic-Labor Network E-Mail List

The Catholic-Labor Network is dependent on interested persons sharing their activities struggles, victories and prayers with other like minded men and women of faith.
We strongly invite all those who visit this page, and who share  a common interest in issues effecting the Catholic Church and the Labor Movement to subscribe.  Occasionally, notices will be sent when this page is updated.  When important events happen, we will pass on the information through the e-mail list, and most of all, the e-mail list is a means by which we can pray and support each other.

Benediction at Catholic-Labor Network Luncheon

February 9, 2003

O God who hears the cry of the poor,
Who protects the widow and the orphan,
Who has blessed men and women with the gift of work, so that they may share in Your creative love,

Be with us today, and bless this food which we will soon receive.
It was through Your grace that we have been blessed today.
Your grace has blessed the farmer to produced this food,
Your grace has blessed the farm worker who has harvested it and processed it,
Your grace has blessed the trucker and mariner who transported it,
Your grace has blessed the warehouseman who stored, and shipped it,
Your grace has blessed the chef and the cooks who have prepared it, and the staff who will serve and clean up.

Heavenly Father, you have revealed you love to us through your son Jesus, and the good news of your Church,

Help us to follow your Son, and live his word, standing in solidarity with working men and women, and making your social justice teachings a living gospel in your Church and in your world.

We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit...

Amen
